Chapter 1: Who is the Kreideprinz?

“……….another one?” I asked, exasperated as Kathyerne pulled out that damned third book.
In theory, that book was meant for high paying Commissions that didn’t improve your standing within the guild. Lately, however, it usually meant Lisa was bored and wanted to fuck.

As……..tempting, as the idea was, I did actually prefer going out and doing work. And since Lisa wouldn’t tell me if she was using her own Mora, or somehow convincing the Acting Grand Master to pay for it, it didn’t sit well with me.
I mean, I technically was doing work in the Library. There just also happened to be a lot of sex with Lisa.

She smiled ruefully, holding out the job slip. There was no way she could know the root of my exasperation, but that didn’t change the fact she was the bearer of its message.
“It would appear so.”

I reluctantly took it, but was surprised to find it wasn’t from Lisa.

“I have an experiment I need your help with.” – the Kreideprinz

There were a lot of unique individuals in the City of Freedom, but this ‘Kreideprinz’ was not a name I’d encountered before. Given how it was spelt, maybe it was related to those ‘Fischl’ books Lisa kept hinting I should read?

Leaning in towards the Receptionist, and having finally learnt how to be a little subtle with these damned requests, I indicated to the weird name.
“Do you know who this is?”

Katheryne paused for a few moments, long enough that I was starting to get concerned, before she replied.
“Ah. I would recommend looking for the alchemist known as ‘Sucrose’. She should be able to lead you to that individual.”
She bowed, before finishing the conversation with her usual ‘Ad Astra Abyssoque.’

I replied in kind, and left for the Knights of Favonius’ headquarters.

———————————–

One of the Knights led me up the stairs in the back, towards the Alchemist laboratory. I specifically ignored the little nook that led to Lisa’s private Lab; on the off chance she was there, waiting to ensnare me.
But no such snare tripped, and I was led towards an alchemist with green hair. As I admired the strange blue peaks in her hair style, I noticed they were in fact the tips of her apparently feline-esque ears, similar but noticeably different to the young bartender at the Cat’s Tail.

“Miss Sucrose? This Adventurer was looking for you.” Nodding to me, the Knight was quick to leave. I wasn’t sure if it was because he needed to go back to his post, or if it was because of the inherent danger of being in the Alchemist Lab, I couldn’t blame him for his haste.

“Hmm? O-oh, h-hello.” The green-haired mage was surprised, and instantly unsure of what to do with me.
“U-um, was there something I-I could do for y-you? I-I don’t recall n-needing help from an A-a-adventurer……”

The poor mage was very nervous, which meant she was probably one of the ‘incredibly good at their job, but doesn’t people well’ types that were common among mages.
Except the ones I deal with, apparently……. I thought, remembering how confident both Lisa and Mona were as individuals.
Focusing on the mage in front of me, maybe clearing up the misconception on who I was, would help.

“The Knight wasn’t quite right. I’m not an Adventurer, I’m a Surveyor.” I said, pulling out my notepad, which had yesterday’s results still written on them.

Once she heard the word ‘Surveyor’, and saw my notepad, most of the tension left her body.
“Oh. Good.”
She paused, proceeding to study my notes.
“Ah! You’re that surveyor who discovered the strange Elemental cave. Mister Albedo told me to keep an eye on your work.”

Again, with that damned cave.
“Did my……findings, help at all?” Unlike with Lisa, as far as I knew, the Alchemists would only have access to the ‘official’ report, which redacted a lot of information beyond ‘the cave seemed to have an effect on the human body after extended exposure’.

Sucrose shook her head.
“Not yet. The report was too vague, and the cave itself seems to stay sealed whenever we send anyone.”
She raised a hand to her chin, thinking.
“But apparently Mister Albedo has the full report, and a supplementary report from Miss Mona Megistus, which is probably why he asked for you.”

Ignoring the dread I could feel creeping in to my soul, I focused on that last part.
“Master Albedo asked for me? I’m here because someone called the ‘Kreideprinz’ was asking for me.”
Odd. Maybe Master Albedo could help me.

A curious look came over the mage’s face.
“Oh. They’re the same person.” She consulted her notepad, eyes lighting up as she read something. “Which means we’re doing the experiment tonight.”
As the resignation I felt at all the things I had purposefully ignored now became unavoidable settled in, Sucrose seemed to be searching for something, which she found once my brief stupor at what I imagined the night was going to involve was over.

“What’s that?” The strange green vial gave me a sense of foreboding, especially since the green haired mage was now uncorking it.

“A supplement that should help boost Anemo energy, and the final preparation step for my part in the experiment. It only last a few hours, so I was told to drink it only after you’d arrived.” She informed me, as she quickly swallowed the small vial.
“Let’s go. I’m curious as to what the full Bio-alchemy experiment is going to be!” She grabbed my hand, and pulled me towards the door, and eventually into the lair of the apparent ‘Freideprinz’.

——————————-

Almost like reality was showing me the knife it was trying to stab me in the dick with, I was led into a side corridor very much like the one that led to Lisa’s secret lab, but on the other side of the building.
……….which meant this was Master Albedo’s private lab.
As I was learning, private labs were used for more lascivious lab work.

Opening the door and pulling me through the threshold, Sucrose quickly announced us both, to a figure behind a chest-high folding screen.
A seemingly young man, with light blonde hair, absorbed in the process of what I assumed was an in-progress painting.
Yup, that was definitely Master Albedo, Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius.
That folding screen bodes ill for me…….

“Ah, good.” The alchemist responded, still painting.
“Sucrose, I’ve prepared a control area for you. Please go to it, and read the instructions, assuming you took the preparations I asked for.”

“Right away, Sir!” Sucrose responded quickly, heading towards a second area with another chest high folding screen.
Reading the note, she began to very obviously disrobe, before turning back to the Chief Alchemist, which elicited a look of confused shocked.
“Sir, I was under the assumption we were only doing an Anemo Reaction test? Why would that require you being n-“

“That was the original idea, yes, based on Lisa’s report. However, Mona’s report intrigued me, so we’ll be trying for a Geo/Anemo reaction test through the medium of Bio-Alchemy.” Albedo responded, cutting off his Assistant. Putting down his paint brush, he finally decided to look at me.
“While I inform our new Surveyor friend of what’s about to happen, and get their consent for the experiments, I’ve provided a copy of both reports for you to read.”

“Ah. I’ll get right on that, Sir!” Sitting on a chair apparently behind the screen, Sucrose disappeared from view, as she apparently began reading.

“Now, my new friend, as I’m sure you can figure out from what I’ve just told my Assistant, I believe you can figure out why you’re here.” The Chief Alchemist began to put away his painting supplies while talking at me.
“Lisa and I are of the belief that you are of a unique bloodline, akin to the Kätzleins of Springvale, or the currently unknown offshoot my dutiful Assistant Sucrose is of. You are obviously not like the Honorary Knight; since you can’t willingly use the Elemental Energy you’ve been imbued with, or consciously change it.”

Of course this had been Lisa’s idea. And given that Master Albedo was renowned for being interested in how life was made, it probably hadn’t been hard for her to convince him.
But the addition of Mona’s “betrayal” was odd. While I had figured Lisa and Albedo would know each other, the Albedo/Mona connection wasn’t one I had figured out.
As I thoguht on it, I realized it made too much sense.
Unlike Lisa, who apparently relished the idea of not living up to her renown as a powerful mage and enjoying a lackadaisical life, Mona was driven to be the best, to show her master she was So Much Better than “the old hag’, as she put it. So of course she would be willing to tell the Chief Alchemist about we had done.
It almost felt like all the Vision Bearers of Mondstadt knew each other, or were within a rather small series of social circles that it wasn’t hard for one to know all in the area.

“Are unique bloodlines that uncommon?” I asked, doing what I can to prolong avoiding addressing the potential experiment. I could feel the seed of pyro energy flaring to life, which meant I was going to accept.
Thinking on it, it wasn’t all bad. Sucrose was rather cute, and as Lisa would often say during some of our sessions, Master Albedo was ‘easy on the eyes’.

“We just don’t know. I’ve heard rumours of different ones down in Liyue, but we haven’t had the chance to check…….” The Alchemist began to write something down.
“If you’re willing, I might be able to convince the Acting Grand Master to pay for some of the expenses.”

“I’m assuming you’d want me to ‘experiment’ on them, like with what we’re about to do?” I grumbled. I wasn’t against having sex per se, but the dramatic shift since the Elemental Cave incident had definitely seen a rather drastic change in the amount I had.
And it was only Vision Bearers who did it both for me, and to me.

Albedo gave a good-natured chuckle.
“Nothing quite as clinical as what we are about to do, but we would appreciate you sending us notes on how your unique physiology affects or is affected by any other ‘unique’ individuals you would come across. We would be partially funding the journey, after all. Should I mark you down as interested?”

“………yes.” I sighed. The opportunity was too good to pass up, and I might as well accept that I was going to be drawing in ‘unique’ individuals, so why not get paid for it too.

“Good. Now, for tonight’s experiment.” Albedo finished writing his notes, and finished putting away his painting supplies, now leaning against the top of the folding screen by his area.
……….his arms were bare, and given what I could see of his neck, he was probably sans clothes.

“As I said before, this was originally meant to be an Anemo reaction test, in both you and Sucrose. On your end, we’d be seeing the effects of Anemo energy on your unique constitution. On Sucrose’s end, we’d be seeing if you’re ‘power’ could cause a Bio-Alchemic reaction within her.”

“…..so you just want me to have sex with her?” I asked, slightly concerned.
This seemed like an abuse of power.

“Based on the reports of both Lisa and Mona, sex does seem to be the only way your ‘power’ manifests. Originally, I was going to do be the one you had sex with, but recalling this would benefit Sucrose’s work more than my own, I filled her in and asked what her thoughts were.” He gestured to the other folding screen.
“As you can see, she’s willing to do the test. She had to spend an entire day preparing after all.”

I eyed the Chief Alchemist curiously. Sucrose had said something about preparation as well.
“What does that mean?”

“She had to purify her body of anything that might interfere with our work, and some basic hygiene requirements to ensure we get as much accurate data as possible, with as little mess or outside interference as possible.” He said nonchalantly, staring dully at the ceiling.

Not wanting to ponder on what this meant, I recalled how Sucrose had been confused at seeing something that implied ‘more than an Anemo test’, and how Albedo had said he had planned to have sex with me first.
“What was did Sucrose mean by her confusion about this ‘just being an Anemo test’?”

“Based on the reports I’m reading, I believe Master Albedo wants to try and see if he can establish a Geo reaction ‘through’ me, to you.” Sucrose piped up, now somewhat visible from behind the folding screen, but still partially bent over reading something.

“Good deduction. After the initial Anemo tests, I’m going to join, and we’ll start on a Geo/Anemo joint test.” How could he keep saying such outrageous things without so much as the bare minimum of embarrassment.

I turned to Sucrose.
“Are you okay with that? Isn’t it kinda we-“

“It’s fine.” She replied, now standing up properly. Given how I could see the naked skin of her neck, and the temptation that was the top of her breasts, it seemed Master Albedo had given her a somewhat shorter folding screen.
“Master Albedo gave me final say on everything, and I don’t see a problem with his hypothesis.”

I forgot how single-minded these types of Mages could be, especially when a new data set was available in front of them.
I sighed.
“I’m assuming you would like me to disrobe?”

“Only if by doing so, you give consent for this series of experiments.” The Chief Alchemist stated.
“While this will be fascinating, consent of the test subjects is paramount.”

“I consent.” I replied, as I started to disrobe.
I’d expected to be chilly, since a lot of labs were generally well vented and needed to control high temperatures as much as possible.
But there was pleasant warmth in the air, which then resonated with the pyro energy within my gut.
“What do you need me to do?”

Albedo gestured towards Sucrose’s folding screen.
“You see the bench near my Assistant, head over there, and we’ll begin. Please allow my Assistant to choose the first test, since we are aware that once the Pyro Energy starts flowing, the rest of the data we’ll need will eventually be collected.”

I was vaguely embarrassed at how casually the Chief Alchemist and the leader of the Knights of Favonios’ Investigator Corps were addressing the way Pyro Energy reacted within me, but I did as I was told.
As I passed the green haired mage, I couldn’t help but admire her figure.
She had lovely breasts, definitely not the largest of the Vision Bearers I’d been with so far, but enough that I’d definitely enjoy getting my hands and lips on them.
She had great hips, apparently being one of the few Alchemists who did her own field work, given how toned her ass and thighs were.
If nothing else, the Archons all seemingly had great taste in who they gave visions to.

I caught Sucrose’s own somewhat embarrassed expression, as my lust was now quite obvious, as I stood beside her, and awaited what she would ask of me.
