The Morrigan

“Why can I do what I do? Because I’m a monster.” Leah said flatly, her tone one of a person who had long ago accepted she would never be a hero.

“No, you’re not a monster, you’ve just had a troubled past, and are rightfully venting it in a

“No, do not dismiss the evil I have done. I did these things BECAUSE I wanted to become a monster to achieve my goals. I am not a role model for you to change into a new mantle.” She paused, before regaining her composure and continuing.
“I tortured the Forge King’s wife because she was an uppity bitch who needed to be put in her place before she ruined all the effort I had put into the one thing I had in my life. I accepted the Mantle of Morrigan because it was a fitting punishment for my actions. I CONTINUE to be the Morrigan because my actions are now justified to myself.
I don’t want or need my actions to be justified to anyone else. I am not a role model for you to use, for you to twist and promote and to encourage other wouldbe heroes into following.” Her voice dropped into a dangerous whisper.

“I am an irredeemable monster, and I am so because I chose to be. You do not want others to become like me, because if that does happen, you’ll create an army that is more than capable of destroying the Courts.”

The Court Member blanched.
“But why would you destroy us? We are keeping the universe alive.”

Leah just smiled.
“Because, just like the Forge King’s bitch, you fools oppose entropy, and without entropy to fight, I set my sights on other targets. I am the Phantom Queen of War, and this cancer of a realm is not ready for me if I become bored.”
